Making art continues to be the most joyous activity I participate in. Much of my recent work is created using littered objects in the form of circles. I can’t pick it all up so I have limited myself to circles. I am encasing the found objects in plastic and creating a variety of shapes to display the materials in a way that will make them interesting to look at and compel people to reconsider materials and art. By featuring rusty bottle caps, odd pieces of rope and wire that somehow have created circles as they have been run over by cars as valuable objects of art I hope to continue the conversation about what is art? What makes art art? Where does art begin and end? Why does it matter that people create? These questions will last as long as people continue to think. I just want to be part of the conversation and perhaps push the lines around.
